﴾وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَـتِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ﴿
{The believers, men and women, are Awliyaa’ of one another}
[Al-Baraa' 9:71]
We often think that to change the world, to reform that which tarnishes it, is a case of giving it your all or nothing. Yet the reality is different: every revolution, every innovation, every birth is always the result of several factors coming together.
And if our common origin is that of Islam, you are then the starting point for the accomplishment of our actions.
It has now been two years since The Muslim Brotherhood Association Sanâbil has been working in prison dawah to help our impoverished brothers and sisters detained around the world, seeking to maintain their family ties as well as providing them with spiritual support and fellowship.
We face more and more requests from brothers and sisters whose families are often unable to adequately provide them with financial support or those whose only family is you, their brothers and sisters in Islam and who live in more difficult conditions because of it.
These prisoners often use their money to buy Islamic books to increase in knowledge and nearness to Allah, or to stay in contact with their families who are often far away in other countries. Stamps, paper, and phone calls all cost money, a minuscule expenditure to us, but an invaluable gift to a prisoner who is given the chance to hear the voice of their child or receiving the news of a brother’s wedding.
Al-Nabi ﷺ said:
«الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا»
‘The believer to the believer is just like a building; its parts support each other.’
Today, you can bring your stone to the building: You can sponsor a brother or sister, according to your means, and in this way, demonstrate your brotherhood towards those forgotten.
Currently, more than thirty brothers and sisters need you! Do not forget them!
Remember that al-Rasul Allah ﷺ said:
«الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُه»
‘The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim, he is not unjust with him nor does he forsake him.’
And also:
«وَاللهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيه»
‘Allah helps the servant as long as the servant helps his brother.’
